Our Promise
In 1973, my father and his brothers built the first Drury Inn on a simple promise—to provide clean rooms, friendly service, and a good night’s sleep at a good and honest price. Nearly 50 years later, that promise still stands.
From the beginning, quality and value have been our guiding principles. But it is our consistency in living up to these that has earned us the J.D. Power award for an unprecedented 17 years.

Our Roots
Growing up in the Missouri Bootheel town of Kelso, the Drury brothers learned the values of hard work and dedication from their father, Lambert. Cutting their teeth on ornamental and plastering work, tile setting and small construction jobs, they learned early on that no detail is too small to overlook. With their focus on quality, service, innovation and value, the Drurys built a reputation, then a business, constructing everything from service stations to churches, and finally, hotels.
What started as a small family business in 1973 remains 100% family-owned and operated today. Of course, our family has grown since then, with 5,000 members and 150-and-growing hotels in 26 states. But our dedication to treating guests like family has never wavered.
At Drury, we believe in welcoming smiles, comfortable accommodations and providing genuine comfort and care for our customers and our communities. Our home is your home, even if only for a night or two.
Building on Our Heritage
After three generations of welcoming travelers to our properties throughout the U.S., it’s only natural that Drury Hotels would make preserving our country’s architectural heritage a top priority. Wherever possible when opening new hotels, we renovate unoccupied older buildings, giving new life to historic properties while boosting local revenue and civic pride.
