GUNNERS NEWS
- Ian Tuckey, Digital sport journalist
ARSENAL manager Mikel Arteta has agreed a new three-year deal with the club, keeping him at the Emirates until 2027.
Meanwhile, Martin Odegaard is a huge injury concern for Sunday's North London Derby - with the skipper reportedly set to be out for at least three weeks.
The Gunners' playmaker was withdrawn from Norway's Nations League clash againstAustria on Monday night after appearing to turn his ankle.
Should the Norwegian be forced to miss Sunday's clash with Tottenham, it would cause a major headache for Mikel Arteta, with Declan Rice already unavailable due to suspension.

Arsenal's top earners
Mikel Arteta has certainly splashed the cash in a bid to make Arsenal title contenders.
And almost the entire senior squad is earning at least £100,000-a-week as a result.
Indeed, back-up goalie Neto is the lowest earner on £50k a week.
But David Raya might feel he's being underpaid, with the first-choice stopper only getting £85k a week - making him the club's third-lowest earner.

Vic too much for Gunners
Arsenal turned down the opportunity to sign star striker Victor Osimhen in the summer because they thought he was too expensive.
Fabrizio Romano claims Arsenal were not interested in bidding after being told to meet his £109million release clause.
The North Londoners also decided against going for a striker altogether with manager Mikel Arteta placing his faith on Kai Havertz as a false nine.
That is despite Eddie Nketiah moving to Crystal Palace and Gabriel Jesus still dealing with fitness issues.

'Viktor would cost £85m'
Arsenal's main summer strike target Viktor Gyokeres would cost £85million.
Sporting Lisbon president Frederico Varandaspoints out better players have gone for less.
Swede Gyokeres has been a major hit in Portugal since joining Sporting from Coventry in July 2023.
Varandas said viaRecord: “I’ve seen inferior players being transferred for over 100m (euros) great players for under 100m (£85m).
“Sporting is happy to have Viktor and he is happy here. During the transfer market, there wasn’t a day without news saying that Viktor was leaving.
“The transfer market closed and these questions continue. But hey, we live with it and that’s how it will be.”
Varandas added: “We have a strong team, Viktor knows that he is well supported by two stars like Pote (Pedro Gonçalves) and (Francisco) Trincão. Morten is very humble. Sporting has a highly valued group today.
“I don’t remember having such a valuable squad, in terms of assets. Now, if we are going to surpass our rivals, it will be on the pitch.”

Arteta has Arsenal 'thinking differently'
Ex-Gunner Theo Walcott claims manager Mikel Arteta has "nice arrogance".
But Walcott, who makes his debut as a BBC Match of the Day pundit this weekend, insists there's a less-known "softer" side to Arteta.
The former England attacker told the Mirror: “Like Arsene (Wenger), he’s got that aura even as a young manager.
"He’s got the look, the nice arrogance but there’s a soft side when he comes away from the pitch or media.
"He’s a really good man to speak to and he knows when to be serious and take a step back."
Arteta added: "Players need to be engaged at every opportunity, always be switched on. He’s getting them thinking in a different way and asking questions.
“He does things very differently. But he’s open and honest too, which is unusual but a good thing.”

Stefan Borson toldFootball Insider: “Yes, Arsenal has paid £6million, but they also hand the player back with relatively limited resale value next year.
