Since announcing their return at the end of February, the trio of bros have practically proven to be unstoppable: multipleNo. 1 hits, a massive North American tour (that will continue overseas next year), another Grammy nomination, and just about everything else you could think of — even their faces on a Coors Light bottle.

Ahead of their year-end performance on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest next week, take a look at everything the Jonas Brothers have accomplished this year.
February 28 – Announce reunion
After more than a year of speculation, the guys revealed that they were indeed reuniting. First sharing the lush cover art for the lead single, “Sucker,” the JoBros shared that they would be taking over The Late Late Show With James Corden the following week to celebrate their return (yes, including a Jonas version of Carpool Karaoke).

March 1 – Release “Sucker”
Promptly at midnight, the JoBros unveiled the undeniably hooky, infectious pop tune “Sucker.” The reaction to the synth-heavy jam seemed overwhelmingly positive, especially thanks to its extravagant music video starring each of their wives.
March 11 – “Sucker” debuts at No. 1 on the Hot 100
As the video views racked up by the millions, so did the streams — 43.7 million in the U.S. in its first week, according to Nielsen Music — and thus, the song landed atop the Hot 100 with ease. It was their first Hot 100 leader ever.
April 4 – Release “Cool”
Following a song like “Sucker” wasn’t going to be easy, but the guys combined their knack for playful lyrics (and a shout-out to Post Malone) with a pounding melody for a fun second release. And though it didn’t quite launch as fiercely as “Sucker,” “Cool” managed to debut at No. 27 on the Hot 100 – not too shabby for a group who hadn’t had a Top 40 hit on the chart since 2009. The guys live debuted the track two days later, when they performed in Minneapolis as part ofthe NCAA Final Four festivities.
April 22 – “Sucker” hits No. 1 on the Pop Songs chart
Another first for the trio, the rapid rise of “Sucker” on radio helped them land their second chart-topping feat.
April 25 – Unveil Billboard cover
The first magazine cover of many since their return, the Jonas Brothers opened up about their reunion and the positive place they’re in now. “It feels like the second bite of the apple is potentially going to be even bigger,” Nick said, “because we’re in a healthy place, we’re enjoying the ride. And I think the music is a reflection of that.”
May 1 – Announce North American Tour
As the guys had hinted in interviews, they had big tour plans in store: 40 dates across North America initially, which quickly grew to 67 by May 11 due to overwhelming demand. “This has honestly been mind blowing for us,” they captioned an Instagram post about the new dates.
May 1 – Perform at the Billboard Music Awards
The guys made their television return in fiery fashion with their BBMAs performance, which marked their first awards show performance since 2009. Nick kicked off with “Jealous,” which Joe joined before the two broke into DNCE’s smash “Cake By the Ocean.” Once Kevin arrived, the brothers played “Sucker” as flames roared around them, making for a super memorable performance.
May 11 – Perform on Saturday Night Live
Ten years after their last appearance, the Jonas Brothers returned to the SNL stage. Along with “Sucker” and a funny Judge Judy-esque sketch,the Bros opted for a little nostalgia, throwing in “Burnin’ Up” at the end of their performance of “Cool.”
May 21 – Perform on The Voice finale
Ten days after their SNL performance of“Cool,” the guys brought the high-powered track to The Voice stage for the Season 16 finale.
May 28 – Announce Blood memoir
As if the guys weren’t doing enough already, they also decided to write a book. The memoir, co-written with The Dirt author Neil Strauss, was initially set for release on Nov. 12, but has been pushed back to March 17, 2020.
May 30 – Test their tastebuds on Hot Ones
The bros took “Burnin’ Up” to another level when they took part in First We Feast’s famed hot wing challenge. They each struggle at some point throughout the amusing 27-minute video — and even though the Jonas Brothers’ documentary had just released, hot sauce may have helped deliver their most candid moments yet.
May 30 – Cover Lewis Capaldi’s “Someone You Loved”
The guys stopped by the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge to perform “Sucker,” but it was their rendition of “Someone You Loved” that really had fans dying. Why, you ask? See for yourself:
May 31 – Add European tour dates
The guys are making their massive tour even bigger, taking their show overseas in the beginning of 2020. So far, their Euro trek will hit 15 cities, including Dublin, Manchester, Barcelona and Paris.
June 4 – Release Amazon documentary, Chasing Happiness
Just three days before the Happiness Begins album release, the Jonas Brothers gave a behind-the-scenes look at their journey with a 90-minute documentary. The film, which is available on Amazon Prime, features home videos and in-depth interviews – and several revelations that even their biggest fans might not have known.
June 6– Star on Harper’s Bazaar‘s first-ever male cover
Typically a women’s fashion magazine, Harper’s Bazaar opted to try having men on their cover — and who else to have on their first male-laden issue but the newly reunited (and highly fashionable) Jonas Brothers. Their photoshoot was filled with colorful, eye-catching ensembles, but the best part of their interview was a video on how much the JoBros (well, particularly Joe) miss Game of Thronesafter its finale:
June 7 – Release Happiness Begins album
The moment day-one fans had been waiting on for six years. The 14-track album flexes the Jonas Brothers’ versatility in their new era, with hints of R&B, reggae and synth-pop. The guys celebrated the much-anticipated LP with a performance on the Today show.
June 13 – Live debut “Only Human” on Fallon
While it was exciting for fans to see “Only Human” live for the first time, arguably the best part of the Jonas Brothers’ Fallon visit was when they played Know Your Bro. It’s hard to decide what’s more hilarious: Their answers about each other, or watching each of them have their own silent disco.
June 15 – Appear on All That
Joe, Nick and Kevin lived out a childhood dream on the reboot of Nickelodeon’s famous comedy series All That. Along with performing “Sucker,” the guys appeared in a Good Burger skit with Kel Mitchell, in which they got to sing “I’m a Dude.” (And to make ‘90s kids even more jealous, they got to be on the show again in November.)
June 17 – Happiness Begins debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200
Not only did the brothers earn their first chart-topping album in 10 years with Happiness Begins, but they had one of the largest weeks of any album in 2019 — surpassing even Ariana Grande’sThank U, Nextfor the biggest week of 2019 at that time.The set earned 414,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending June 13, which also marked the biggest week for a pop album since December 2017 and the largest week for a group since One Direction in December 2015.

June 18 – Star on Songland, release “Greenlight”
The guys joined Happiness Begins executive producer Ryan Tedder (along with superstar songwriters Shane McAnally and Ester Dean) on NBC’s new songwriter reality series Songland, on which they selected a song called “Greenlight” to record and release.
June 19 – Hit No. 1 on the Artist 100 for the first time
Thanks to the huge success of Happiness Begins, the Jonas Brothers jumped from No. 14 to the top of the Artist 100 chart. The achievement added another first to their resume, further proving that they’re bigger than ever – and it’s not stopping anytime soon.
June 21 – Release “Runaway” with Daddy Yankee, Natti Natasha and Sebastian Yatra
Adding a little Latin flair to their new music, the JoBros teamed up with three of Latin’s biggest names for one catchy tune.
August 7 – Kick off Happiness Begins Tour in Miami
The guys were rather quiet in July, but only because they were prepping for their massive Happiness Begins Tour. The North American trek started in Miami, the first of 74 shows the Jonas Brothers played across the next four months, including two sold-out shows at New York City’s Madison Square Garden and Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl — their first time at the latter.
August 12 – Receive the Decade Award at the Teen Choice Awards
The 2019 Teen Choice Awards marked a full-circle moment for the JoBros, as the first award they ever won as a group was a Teen Choice Award in 2008. Because of that, they used their Decade Award speech as an opportunity to share stories of being bullied as teens — which actually inspired them to keep going, ultimately ending up on that very stage. (The guys also took home choice summer group that night.)
August 13 – Drop the “Only Human” video
The lavish “Sucker” video is a tough one to beat, but the Jonas Brothers offered some stiff competition with the “Only Human” vid. The ‘80s-inspired clip features the guys jamming to the funky tune in a club and dancing in the street.
August 26 – Perform on the VMAs and won their first Moonperson
In the middle of their Happiness Begins Tour, the Jonas Brothers put on a special performance at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park in their home state of New Jersey for the MTV Video Music Awards. The fiery performance was topped by their first VMA win, as they were awarded best pop video for “Sucker.”
September 3 – Reunite with Big Rob
Nearly one month after teasing that “surprise guests” would appear throughout their tour, the Jonas Brothers delivered the biggest (and likely most-anticipated) special guest of them all in Hershey, Pennsylvania: Big Rob. Their beloved former bodyguard surprised the sold-out Hershey Park crowd for his rap part of “Burnin’ Up,” and the whole Jonas fandom went crazy.
September 27 – Team up with Diplo for “Lonely”
The producer took over the Jonas Brothers’ social media in what appeared to be an Instagram hack (and a hilarious one at that). But the “hack” was just a brilliant marketing campaign for Diplo’s single with JB titled “Lonely,” an acoustic-guitar-driven jam that has an equally funny video:
September 30 – Perform a Tiny Desk concert
As the Happiness Begins Tour stopped through Washington, D.C. in August, the JoBros decided to pay NPR a visit to deliver their own Tiny Desk Concert, which arrived on Sept. 30. The guys sang “Sucker,” “Only Human” and the sultry Happiness Begins cut “I Believe.”
October 3 – Land first Latin Airplay No. 1
Adding to their impressive list of chart achievements for the year, the Jonas Brothers’ collaboration with Daddy Yankee, Natti Natasha and Sebastian Yatra, “Runaway,” earned the trio their first Latin Airplay No. 1. The track also topped Latin Rhythm Airplay and reached No. 3 on the Latin Pop Airplay chart.

October 7 – Surprise their biggest fans on Ellen
Though Ellen DeGeneres typically likes to scare her guests, she decided to flip the script when the Jonas Brothers came through. She had the guys scare some of their biggest fans, which hilariously resulted in Nick being called “the cutest little nugget in the whole world.” The guys also had some exciting news to share on Ellen too, as Nick revealed that he will be the newest Voice coach next season.
October 8 – Receive their platinum plaques
After such a massive first week, it’s no surprise that Happiness Begins went platinum in the United States (and eventually Canada). But that didn’t take away from the Jonas Brothers’ excitement over their platinum plaques:

October 10 – Unveil their own Coors Light bottles
Who knew you could even make your own Coors Light bottle? Apparently the JoBros did, and they made their special bottles — which feature Kevin, Joe and Nick on the iconic blue mountains — available to fans in a limited run of six-packs.
November 7 – Release “Like It’s Christmas”
Twelve years after dropping their very first Christmas tune, 2007’s “Girl of My Dreams,” JB created another catchy holiday song for 2019. “Like It’s Christmas” features horns, jingle bells and lovestruck lyrics that arelikely inspired by the leading ladies they each now have in their lives.
November 8– Win international artist of the year at the Los 40 Music Awards
Americans may not know much about the Los 40 Music Awards, but it meant a lot to the Jonas Brothers to be honored with the Spanish radio station’s international artist of the year award — beating out Ed Sheeran, Miley Cyrus, Sam Smith and Rita Ora. Then one day later, they jetted to France to perform “Sucker” and “Only Human” on the NRJ Music Awards, where they were also honored with theAward of Merit.
November 20 – Celebrate a Grammy nomination
Marking their first Grammy nomination in 11 years, the guys received a nod for best pop/duo group performance for “Sucker.” They shared a sweet thank you post reminiscing on their road to their latest nomination:
November 24 – Perform on the American Music Awards
The Jonas Brothers couldn’t be at the AMAs because they were in Boston on the Happiness Begins Tour. But instead of missing it altogether, the bros decided to bring viewers to their show by live streaming their performance of “Only Human.”
December 3 – Flex their funny bones on Brad Paisley Thinks He’s Special
Brad Paisley hosted his first-ever comedy special and wanted the Jonas Brothers to be part of it, particularly so he could see what it’s like to be a Jonas Brother. The sketch involves the brothers each auditioning for the role of Nick, and, of course, it was hilarious.
December 8 – Pay tribute to Earth Wind and Fire at Kennedy Center Honors
When Earth, Wind & Fire became the first African American group to be inducted to the Kennedy Center Honors, the JoBros were part of the celebration, performing “Boogie Wonderland” on their own and joining Cynthia Erivo, John Legend and Ne-Yo for an epic finale performance of the legends’ timeless hit “September.”
December 9 – Score their second Adult Contemporary Chart No. 1
One more chart achievement for 2019! The JoBros landed “Like It’s Christmas” atop the Adult Contemporary radio airplay chart, their second time topping the tally this year after “Sucker” reigned for 11 weeks beginning in September.
December 15 – Close out the North American Happiness Begins Tour
After nearly four straight months of touring North America, the Jonas Brothers wrapped the trek at The Forum in Los Angeles. The tour was so successful, the JoBros ended the year at No. 14 on the Top 40 Tours of 2019. And though they’re done touring the U.S. for now, the guys will be closing out their insane 2019 where the Happiness Begins Tour began, with a poolside performance at Fontainebleau Miami that will be broadcast live on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve — a fitting finish to an epic year.
